DEAR FRIENDS:
We close 2025 with the feeling of having lived through an especially intense year for Foundawtion. A year in which we have continued working in Senegal and Namibia at the same time—two very different realities that have challenged us greatly as a team, but have also confirmed that the effort is worthwhile when it is transformed into tangible opportunities for children, young people, and communities.
In Namibia, we reached the end of a complex project, carried out far from our usual base of operations and with all the challenges involved in working in a new context for a small foundation like ours. Being able to bring it to completion with promising prospects for the future is a tremendous source of satisfaction and encourages us to continue believing in this way of working: prudent, close to the people we serve, and committed.
In Senegal, the Bajankusoor Vocational Training Center has continued to progress, not only as a construction project but also as a place of learning. The workshops and training sessions carried out throughout the construction process remind us of something that has always been essential for Foundawtion: building also means educating, sharing knowledge, and strengthening local capacities. We would especially like to highlight the participation and training of women, which deeply moves us and reconnects us with the spirit of “building a school” that began with the CEM Kamanar secondary school.
We are also very proud to see how Eno Kaoussou, our site manager at Bajankusoor, has successfully organized teams, trained workers, and strengthened an increasingly rigorous local construction company
